Use these color-coded modular adapters to convert DB25 or DB9 RS-232 ports to RJ-45 or RJ-11 modular jacks.Designed for high-density applications where width between ports is critical, these modular adapters are ultra-slim. Their connector pins, plated with 10 microinches of gold, provide cleaner signal transfer.Each kit includes a plastic adapter containing leads attached to a socket and a metal male or female connector. Some assembly is required.The RJ-45 adapters are available with DB25, DB15, or DB9 male or female connectors (with thumbscrews) and an RJ-45 8- or 10-wire socket. Each adapter features 8 or 10 (7 or 9 strands) UL®, 26 AWG, 3-inch-long wire attached to the RJ-45 side. The end of each wire is crimped with a gold-plated crimp pin, ready to be inserted into the DB25, DB15, or DB9 connector.Pin to your own specs. Installation is simple: Insert the crimped lead to the RJ-45 side into the DB25, DB15, or DB9 side, and snap the DB connector into the plastic adapter.The RJ-11 adapters go from DB25 or DB9 male or female to an RJ-11 socket. They feature six (five strands) UL®, 26 AWG, 3-inch-long wires attached to the male or female gold-plated crimp pin, which is inserted into the DB25 or DB9 connector.Pin these adapters to your own specs. To install, simply insert a crimped lead connected to the RJ-11 6-wire side into the DB side, then snap the DB connector into the plastic adapter.
